Drop Off Area

Vehicles may drop runners in the parking lot of Domaine Carneros Winery on Duhig across from the start area. Runners may not stay in your car, traffic must keep moving due to the high volume of traffic in this congested area.

Parking Areas

There is NO parking at the start nor along Hwy 121. Do not drive or park on the course route as it is closed to traffic during the race (you will be towed or ticketed).

Designated Viewing Areas

You may NOT drive or park on the course so please arrive at your viewing destination early and stay clear of the course.

If you wish to view the start of the race, you should take a bus to the start from the transpiration area, and return buses will be provided for spectators as well.

The best places to view the race are at the following locations

Mile 2 at the first water stop at the intersection of Las Amigas and Duhig Rd.  You must access this spot from Hwy 121 to Cuttings Wharf Rd to Las Amigas Rd.

Park back along an open area on Las Amigas Rd. or at Acacia Winery.  Do not park on Duhig and there is NO Parking at the start area and cars are not allowed on the course.

Mile 7.5 at the intersection of Burndale Rd. and Hwy 121.  This is a very congested area due the heavy vehicle traffic and the runners crossing of Hwy 121 so if you plan to watch here, arrive early (before 7:30am).

We suggest parking at Fremont Diner on the corner of Hwy 121 and S. Central Ave. and walk to the intersection on Burndale & Hwy 121 or Burndale.  Some parking is available in the soon-to-be brewery located just before the intersection.

Mile 11 at 7th St. East and Denmark. This area is easy to access if you take Napa St. from the Plaza over to 7th St. and park along 7th St.  Runners will be on the long stretch of Denmark just before winding their way through the path at the high school.

The finish down Broadway.  This is one of the classic finishing stretches for any runner as the street will be filled with spectators cheering the runners as they approach the finish line in front of City Hall in Sonoma Plaza.

Park in any of the nearby lots or streets around the plaza as long as you do not see a NO Parking sign! (see map)
