Course Information

This course is certified by USTAF. Certification number is CA06022RS; View detailed course information and maps.

Timing & Results

Make every stride count! We utilize a computerized timing system, Chip timing starts when you reach the starting line and your finish time is then calculated precisely when you cross the finish line, however, USATF requires using the actual gun time to for final placement. Results will be posted at the event and are available on-site, and online.

Gear Check

A gear check area is provided at the start areas for runners to place their warm-ups and other items in the bag provided by race staff. Write your bib number and name on the bags and they will be transported to the finish area for pickup. Any items left at the event will be donated to charity after 14 days.

Weather

Race start time temperatures are usually ideal and will range from a cool of low 50’s to a high of low 60’s depending upon whether fog is present. Summer temperatures are usually very moderate and pleasant in southern Sonoma and Napa counties as the proximity to the bay creates breezes and fog that act as natural air conditioning.

If a high pressure system keeps the cool air offshore and skies are clear, temperatures could reach as high as the 70's by mid-morning. Be prepared for either condition. Afternoon high temperatures typically range between 75 and 85 degrees. There is virtually no summer rain, just fog, in the area.

Medical

Medical support is provided at the start line, finish line and on-course. EMT services are on stand-by. Please train, prepare and hydrate for the race to best avoid suffering medical complications. Heat exhaustion, dehydration and chaffing/blisters are the most common medical ailments suffered by runners.

Course Rules

All runners MUST wear a race bib registered in their name, visible to race officials. We have no space or tolerance for “bandits” so if you are not a registered runner please do not attempt to run the race, or you will be removed in unceremonious fashion.

Music headphones are allowed but you must keep the volume down so you can hear vehicle traffic and voice instruction. If you are not able to hear or obey law enforcement voice commands you will be pulled from the course and DQ’d.

Baby strollers are allowed (heck, its Mom's Day weekend) but you must start at the back of the pack and take extra precaution crossing intersections and when passing runners. Dogs or bikes are not allowed on the race course due to the limited space and sold-out field.
