2010 Napa-to-Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon
Friday July 16th
5:00 to 8:00pm - VIP early packet pickup at Sports Basement in San Francisco (Presidio store). Must sign up and pay for VIP packet pickup online to attend. Wine & cheese reception included.
6:00 to 7:45pm - Welcome reception at Cuvaison Carneros Winery. Wine tasting, appetizers in beautiful setting overlooking start area. Must be registered.
Saturday July 17th
10:00am to 6:00pm - Race Expo at Cornerstone Gardens in Sonoma. Packet Pickup, exhibits, products sampling, garden tours, wine tasting and seminars. Packet pickup open until 7:00pm.
Expo Seminar Schedule
1:00pm to 1:45pm - "Insiders guide to the Napa-to-Sonoma Wine Country Half Marathon course". Presented by local elite runner Janet Cain and race director Matt Dockstader.
2:00pm to 2:45pm - "How to find the right running shoe for you!" Presented by Greg Struland of Napa Running Company.
3:00pm to 3:45pm – “See Dane Run” Presented by author and endurance runner Dane Rauschenberg. Dane ran 52 consecutive weekend marathons in 2006 and completed the 202-mile American Odyssey Relay by himself this past April. Dane will be signing copies of his book, See Dane Run, and speaking about his training methods and long distance running endeavors.
6:45pm - 8:30pm - Race Dinner in the Pavilion at Cornerstone Gardens. Healthy gourmet pasta dinner prepared by Alex’s catering. Includes wine, appetizers and emcees; announcer Whit Raymond and author Dane Rauschenberg. Limited to 80 guests. Must be registered.
Sunday July 18th
5:10 to 6:20am - Bus transportation to start area from Sonoma and Napa
7:00am - RACE START at Cuvaison Carneros Winery at 1221 Duhig Rd in Napa
10:20am - Awards Ceremony in Sonoma Plaza
9:15am to Noon - Wine & Music Festival in Sonoma Plaza
10:00am to 12:15pm - Bus transportation return trips to Napa and Santa Rosa for CCFA participants
2:30 to 5:30pm – VIP wine tasting tour in Sonoma (3 wineries). Inquire at Jennifer@destinationraces.com
